Some public transit lines allow passengers to take bicycles aboard. Bikes are permitted in the first and last cars of all trains on the A and B lines of the suburban R.E.R. system each day (except during rush hours), as well as Métro's Line 1 (Château de Vincennes-La Défense) on Sundays until 4:30 p.m. Three of the four Batobus boats, which link Hôtel de Ville to the Eiffel Tower and make seven stops on the Seine, accept bicycles on board.
